Izakaya Studio — Our Story
About Us
Who We Are
Izakaya is a digital art studio built around a love for Japanese aesthetics — the quiet beauty of ink on paper, the boldness of ukiyo-e woodblock prints, the neon glow of Tokyo at night. We create limited-edition wall art that brings that spirit into modern homes.
Every piece in our collection is generated through a careful creative process, blending traditional Japanese motifs with contemporary design. Our prints span five distinct worlds: night city nostalgia, Japanese cuisine, bold graphic art, dark cinematic atmosphere, and modern abstraction.
Our Process
Each poster begins as a creative concept — a mood, a reference, a feeling. We work with AI-assisted design tools to explore and refine that concept into something visually striking, then spend time curating and editing until the piece feels finished. No poster goes live unless it's something we'd want on our own walls.
When you order, your poster is printed on demand by our production partner Gelato — a global network of print studios that produces each piece to order using premium matte paper and archival-quality inks. This means no overproduction, less waste, and a print that's made specifically for you.
Print Quality
We don't compromise on materials. Every Izakaya print is produced on heavy-weight premium matte paper, with pigment-based inks that resist fading for decades.
Paper
Premium matte, 200gsm. Thick, smooth, and frameable straight out of the tube.
Inks
Archival pigment inks. Fade-resistant, deep colour reproduction, museum standard.
Resolution
Minimum 300 DPI across all sizes. Sharp at any scale, from A4 to large format.
Sustainability
Print-on-demand means we only produce what's been ordered — no excess inventory, no overproduction. Gelato's local production network also means your poster is printed as close to you as possible, reducing shipping distance and carbon footprint.
